K1WY (Lleida, 1998) dedicates his daily life to painting, tattooing and above all having fun. Since he was a child he has had a great interest in expressing his ideas in the street with freedom, avoiding the limits that paper sets and taking advantage of the controversy and social rejection that graffiti implies. He learned to draw, animate and paint in a self-taught way since he was a teenager, consolidating his knowledge with studies in Animation and VFX. After four years of many screens, he decided to move away from digital for a while, finding in painting his means of expression, first on the wall and then on the canvas, passing through the skin until reaching the video. The apparent banality of his works connects with a reflection on the anguish inherent in loneliness and other states of mind. Behind the nickname K1WY hides a disturbing and critical essence that directly challenges the viewer.
